After many years without access to farmland, I am grateful to be growing on a parcel of land we lease from the Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust.
The land we grow with is adjacent to The Helfand Community Gardens and home to many animals, rocks and other inhabitants.
The farm is tended by our family and community working only with organic materials and methods. We do not till or use heavy equipment of any kind and work towards creating a harmonious relationship with the land.

Many of us have seen firsthand how reliance on multinational corporations and complex supply chains can create instability in our economic security. When it comes to food it is crucial to support small local farms. Our current wishlist includes gift cards to Fedco and Johnny's Seeds, a market and delivery van and other small needs. You can also make a monetary donation by clicking the button below or reaching out to me by email connect@emergencegardens.com.
If you'd like to spend time on the farm learning about growing food and building community, please reach out to learn about monthly or ongoing opportunities.
